The ACRID 2017 conference track covering Process and Motion Control is a forum for industrialists, researchers, academics, system designers, and other practitioners with the aim of exploiting common synergies. Industrialists report on problems and opportunities related to new drive technologies, power quality increased and better mobility for persons in need of care through the combined use of smart sensors and actuators. Drives and drive technology in extreme operating environments. Other relevant areas are Electric Vehicles and traction in public transportation, smart elevators. Process simulation is an important for the avoidance of risk and errors. Papers reporting on positive results from simulation platforms such as Matlab Simulink are encouraged. Researchers and academics come with proposed innovative solutions to these problems utilising models, experimental setups, software tools and demonstrations. Integrated manufacturing systems that include transmission of production data to management accounting systems through wireless sensors. There is ample scope for the exploration and exchange of knowledge in this field through scientific talks, industry discussions, technical tutorials and panels. The conference covers all aspects of process and motion control for industry, research and practice, including theory, management, applications and technology, and will bring together renowned experts.
